As we continue our journey through the Nguzo Saba, the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa; we now arrive at our second guiding light: Kujichagulia. This principle centers on the radical act of self-definition, of reclaiming our voices, identities, and stories in a world that has long sought to define us from the outside in.

Kujichagulia is not just about personal affirmation. It’s collective. Communal. Intergenerational. It’s about recognizing that when one of us reclaims our name, our truth, our path, we all rise a little higher.
